eluCook Designs (pronounced E.L.U. Cook) was founded by artist Emily L.U. Cook in 2004. Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Emily earned her BFA from the University of Delaware before settling in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where she now creates fused glass jewelry, art, and home décor. Her work is known for its vibrant colors, clean lines, and innovative use of materials—especially glass fused with sand from beaches around the world, allowing customers to carry a piece of their favorite places with them.
Each piece is handmade in Emily’s studio using a kiln-firing process that can reach up to 1500 degrees and often includes grinding or sandblasting for a refined finish. She also enjoys mixing glass with materials like wood and concrete for added texture and contrast.
Outside the studio, Emily spends her time biking, swimming, gardening, enjoying the beach, and making memories with her husband Dave and their two young children.
